Dear Mrs. R

15 Apr

Dear Mrs. R,

You were my middle school choir teacher. You always told me I could do anything I put my mind to. You pushed me further than anyone I can remember and knew I deserved more than what I had. If the judges scored my solo lower than you thought, you made sure to tell me so and you always had faith in me. Choir was what I looked forward to and what I mainly remember about middle school. You helped me so much and it’s sad to say that you will never know this. You changed schools and I have no idea where you are now. I don’t think I would be as much into singing and music and even acting were it not for you and your encouragement to keep going. You helped me into an advanced choir in high school and I genuinely felt sad when I left 8th grade. I really wish I could see you now and tell you how much you meant to me. You helped so much during those awkward teenage years and I hope you know how much of an effect you had on your kids. We all loved you. You helped us grow. I’ll never forget you.

Sincerely,

Second soprano in the second row
